  What's Happening at The Haven    

A resident moved here after foreclosure and obtained an apartment through the Brevard Housing Authority. His stay at the Haven prevented him from living in his car for almost three weeks while waiting for an opening at the Housing Authority.

A married couple staying at the Haven is in the process of returning to school this semester, obtaining housing and has found paying work through resources encountered during their stay. They are slated to move soon.

A young man arrived at the Haven with nothing.  He is part of a program at Social Services for extended assistance due to him being in foster care throughout his teen years.  He is starting classes at Blue Ridge Community College this semester, has moved into an apartment and is making great strides in improving his life position.  His stay at The Haven made this possible.
