Our Mission

The mission of The Haven of Transylvania County is to assist homeless families and individuals in crisis in Transylvania County by providing safe, temporary refuge in a clean, comfortable shelter.

Our Vision

The Haven will meet the immediate needs of homeless families and individuals working to resolve their crisis in Transylvania County.  We will provide safe, temporary shelter along with counsel and support that  coordinates services, shares information, and works with the existing continuum of care.  Our goal is to work with all resources available to assist the homeless on their road to independence.

The Haven

The Haven is a temporary, emergency shelter for homeless families and individuals in Transylvania County  Potential residents may apply between 4pm and 7pm daily.

Services Offered:

• Safe, secure shelter

• Shower and laundry facilities

• Evening and morning light meal

• Counseling and case management

• Mail and telephone message service
